New WordPress Plugins Weekly Roundup – 8 October 2017

If you’ve got a WordPress site, you may be interested to know about some of the most interesting new plugins I found on this week.

Unless stated otherwise, I’ve not tested these, but am just highlighting those that stood out to me as being most interesting.

New Plugin Releases

Food Truck Locations & Times
By Paul Collett
Obviously this will be only for a specific niche, but for businesses that operate a food truck, they’ll not want to miss this.

PayPal Pro WooCommerce
By palmoduledev
If you use PayPal Pro, this plugin will integrate your account with WooCommerce. One of the benefits you can get from this is taking payments from your customers on your site, without them having to visit PayPal.

Premmerce WooCommerce Toolkit
By premmerce
This plugin adds some additional features to WooCommerce, such as adding video to product pages and turning your site into a product catalog, rather than a store.

Order Thumbnail for WooCommerce
By Delite Studio S.r.l.
You can install this plugin to add a product thumbnail image to all entries on your admin orders screen. This may make it quicker and easier to identify sold products.

WooCommerce Simple Buy Now
By N’DoubleH
This plugin can be used to add a button that will let users add a product to their cart and go to the checkout page with one click.

User Activity Logger
By klick on it
If you need to track when your users are using your site, this may help you. The plugin will send an email to your specified email address when users log in.

WooCommerce Order Pending To Cancelled Email
By Fresh-Media
WooCommerce recently removed the email that is sent when an order changes status from Order Pending to Cancelled. This plugin simply adds that email back.

WP Better Permalinks
By Mateusz Gbiorczyk
This plugin gives you a bit more control over the structure of your permalinks, if the default options aren’t enough for you.

Simple Monero Miner – Coin Hive
By Thiyagesh M
It seems that there may be a bot of trend growing for plugins that allow sites to monetize by using visitors’ CPU to mine digital currencies. This one allows you to mine Monero coins.

Coin Hive Ultimate Plugin
By Devon Mather
I told you. Here’s another plugin that will let you use your visitors’ CPU to mine Monero coins.

WP Link Builder
By shopmunity GmbH, Germany
This is an interesting idea, though I don’t know how effective it will be for your SEO. This tracks backlinks that are used by your visitors to find your site and then promotes the pages that include those backlinks to indexing services like Pingomatic. This is done with aim of ensuring these pages get picked up by search engines and you get the benefit of the backlinks.

WorldShaking Web Push Notifications
By Grizzly New Technologies
Web notifications can be a powerful marketing tool for all sorts of websites and this plugin adds the capability to your WordPress site.

AR for WooCommerce
By Web and Print Design
With augmented reality becoming more mainstream, this plugin for WooCommerce could be just right for the time. This allows you to add 3D model files to your products that can then be used in a free AR app for iOS. There’s also a version that works with WordPress without the WooCommerce plugin.

Easy Digital Downloads – Recent Purchases
By Wow-Company
This plugin works with Easy Digital Downloads and displays recent purchases that have been made through your site.

Bottom Admin Bar
By Graeme White
Here’s one for anyone who doesn’t like WordPress’ admin bar at the top of the screen when browsing their own site or find it interferes with a floating header. This plugin simply move the bar to the bottom of the screen.

That’s the end of this week’s roundup. Please let me know if you’re going to give any of these new plugins a try.
