New WordPress Plugins Weekly Roundup – 3 December 2017

Here’s a selection of the most interesting new plugins I found added to WordPress.org site this week.

Unless stated otherwise, I’ve not tested these, but am just highlighting those that stood out to me as being most interesting.

New Plugin Releases

Woo SMS Pro

By CodeBite
This is the second plugin I’ve seen recently that allows you to set WooCommerce to send SMS messages to customers after they make a purchase and on order status changes. This has the advantage of supporting multiple different SMS services.

WooCommerce Google Analytics Enhanced Ecommerce

By Universal Web Services, LLC
Knowledge is power and this plugin will give you access to additional data in your Google Analytics, straight from your WooCommerce store.

Quick Restaurant Reservations

You can turn WordPress into a system for managing restaurant bookings with this.

WooCommerce Swatches Manager

By JCodex
This improves the way that product variations are selected, by the use of swatches and images.

EVE Dynamic Prerender

Every now and again I come across a plugin that makes me think “what a good idea”. This plugin can load a meta tag into pages that specifies a page to be preloaded in the background, which can really speed up the user experience. It’s particularly clever, in my opinion anyway, as it tracks the most commonly visited series of pages so it’s always preloading the page most likely to be visited next.

Variation Based Message for WooCommerce

By WebKinder
With this plugin, you can display a custom message to customers as they pick a specific product variation.

WP Asset CleanUp (Gonzales), Assets manager, Page speed optimizer

By Webcraftic
A fast loading site is an essential and this new plugin can help by not loading JacaScripts on pages where they’re not needed.

WooCommerce Send CSVs to your Fullfillment-Partner

By Schmeidt
This may be a bit of a niche plugin, but could be very handy for some sellers. By setting up a cronjob, this plugin can send a CSV file of order information to a fulfillment service.

Facebook Customer Chat

By Sam Carlton
The new Facebook Customer Chat beta service can be simply integrated to a WordPress site with this plugin. This must be a bit of a worry for some of the existing chat plugins, particularly the paid for ones.

AdUnblocker

By Digital Apps
If you monetize your site through advertising, you may appreciate this plugin that tries to counter Adblocker.

WooCommerce Bought Together

By WPclever.net
The aim of this plugin is to help you increase sales by suggesting products that are bought together and offering a discount for those who buy the offer.

Steady for WordPress

By Steady
Here’s a way to monetize a website using this plugin that connects to Steady’s service. You can implement a system of regular donations, rather like Patreon, or run crowdfunding campaigns.

Crowdfunding and Fundraising Campaign Builder by PayForm

By PayForm
If you’re interested in crowdfunding as an approach, you may also want to check out this plugin.

That’s the end of this week’s roundup. Please let me know if you’re going to give any of these new plugins a try.
