New WordPress Plugins Weekly Roundup – 12 November 2017
Once again I’ve been searching through the new plugins released on WordPress.org site this week and these are the ones that stood out.
Unless stated otherwise, I’ve not tested these, but am just highlighting those that stood out to me as being most interesting.
New Plugin Releases
You can use this plugin to improve the default WooCommerce search experience. As well as auto-complete, it’s also designed to find products when search terms have been misspelled.
Premmerce WooCommerce Product Filter
This plugin has been designed to improve the product filtering options in WooCommerce.
Dynamic Deals and Discounts for WooCommerce
You can apply time limited discounts to selected products with this plugin.
Profit Reports for WooCommerce
Why do some developers go to the trouble of creating plugins and then not add descriptions of what they do and how they work? Apparently you can use this to see profit reports on individual orders.
WooCommerce Order Notes
Potentially a time saver if you use order notes a lot. This plugin allows you to see all the notes in one place, rather than having to go into each order.
Codup Woo Loyalty
To quote the full description provided by the developers, this plugin “provides loyalty features for WooCommerce.” I’ve no idea what those features are, but it’s always easier to sell to existing customers than find new ones, so it might be worth taking a look.
SM – SQL logs
If your site seems to be running slowly, you may want to take a look at this. The plugin allows you to see all the database queries made when your site loads, including the time each query takes. It could help you identify plugins that are making lots of queries or poorly optimized queries that take a lot of time.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals for WooCommerce
By Pimwick, LLC
Despite the name, this plugin could be great for running promotions to mark events throughout the year.
WooCommerce Like Counter
I’m not sure about the value of this personally, but it adds like/dislike buttons to your products. Perhaps it could be one way to get feedback about your products. If a product is getting a lot of likes and few sales, maybe pricing is off.
SSL Secure Seal for WooCommerce
By Arif Widianto
Anything you can do to build customer confidence and trust in your store is a good thing. This plugin makes it easy to add a seal to confirm your site is secure through using SSL. However, as you pick your own image, you could create a seal that promotes your money back guarantee or similar.
WebD Woocommerce Product Excel Importer & Bulk Edit
I imagine this could be invaluable to store owners who have large stock inventories. It allows you bulk edit properties and also import Excel spreadsheets that can be used to create your products or update existing products.
Astro WooCommerce Free Gift
With this WooCommerce extension, you can assign selected products to another product as a free gift. Offers you another way to promote your products.
Product Quantity for WooCommerce
By Algoritmika Ltd
This plugin lets you set minimum and maximum order quantities for your products.
VAPTCHA:the CAPTCHA from future.
If you ant to make your admin login a little more secure, you may be interested in this plugin that adds a captcha to the form.
WP Super Slider
By KH Shajal
While I’m not a great fan of image sliders as they often convert poorly, there may be times they make sense. This new plugin appears to be well featured for a free slider and designed for desktop and touch displays.
Advanced Dynamic Pricing For Woocommerce
By Algol Plus
This plugin lets you set multiple rules that allow you to vary pricing depending on a customer’s cart contents. Gives you new options for discounting sales and encouraging higher order values.
Woocommerce order action email
If I’m understanding this plugin correctly from the super brief description, it allows you to add new emails to be sent by WooCommerce for specific actions.
WooCommerce Bulk Receipt
By Jaydeep Rami
Here’s a plugin that does one simple and specific thing. It adds the ability to resend order confirmation receipt emails to multiple customers simultaneously. If you experience problems with customers not receiving emails, this could be a bit of a time saver.
That’s the end of this week’s roundup. Please let me know if you’re going to give any of these new plugins a try.
